With almost two decades in the construction industry, company owner Benjamin Decker brings a thorough knowledge of the industry to the table.  After working in various trades as a teenager, he decided to pursue a degree in Construction Technology at SUNY Delhi.  After graduation he was employed by a Utility Consultant working on Distribution and Transmission design and repair.  He then moved on to work as a Superintendent and Project Manager for various commercial contractors.  In 2001, Ben launched BH Decker and has enjoyed completing challenging projects since that time.

 

I have now used Ben Decker and his crew to build a back Patio and Basement projects. Both have been done perfect and exactly how I wanted.  No problems just in and out to complete satisfaction.

BH Decker has done two of the three porches on my house at 177 Main. They speak for themselves! He did the front and the rear porches. Work is always top quality, results not excuses. Will never be the least expensive, but worth every dime!

Over the course of two years, I have used BH Decker in the design and construction of a garage/garden room, the renovation of the exterior of a garage that was severely damaged due to a fire, replacing a porch and building guest quarters over the garage.

 

My relationship with Ben Decker started with a brief conversation about building the garden room/garage which was necessary after a fire destroyed the original building. Ben listened and took notes and later returned with a design that conceptualized my thoughts. His attention to detail resulted in the creation of a building in which people ask whether it’s new of is it part of the original house which dates back to 1870.

 

One of the best aspects of working with Ben is that he has excellent aesthetics. When I needed something to replace a corrugated plastic awning, I had confidence that Ben would find a tasteful alternative. Whenever I was concerned how something should be done, I was always happy to reply on Ben’s good taste, craftsmanship and pride in his work to assure me the project was receiving his personal attention in arriving at a solution.

In November 2013 BH Decker resided my house in Andes NY, I supplied the materials and painted the trim pieces. His two man crew arrived on time and did a very good job, they paid attention to detail and rectified a problem I had forgotten about, could have been a serious visual upset but they figured it out and gave me a fantastic looking finish. I am impressed by Ben’s competency and efficiency at completion. His fee was within my limits. I would recommend his company to anyone.
